This crochet doily was inspired by Ashley Blalock's work.  Originally, the doily was supposed to stretch across the entire underside of the staircase.  Evidently, this was not the case because I ran out of time. Since I was used to spending hours working in one sitting, I had to adjust to my limited time window for this project.  My teacher goal was: site specific; my student goal: convey emotion.  I enjoyed the hanging strings.  I struggled with conveying emotion.  Overall, I do not plan to something like this in the future. However, I intend to use the same crocheting techniques learned in future projects.
